July 2006: The membership lookup facility when submitting results has been replace by a a display of potental BOF membership numbers during the checking operation.
23 May 2006: The long-standing fault where the membership list used by the ranking system is frequently out of date has been cracked. New members should appear in the ranking list on their first event.
8 May 2006: The recent update on 28 April introduced a fault in the submission system which was reported as a password error. This has now been fixed.
12 June 2005: The Springtime in Shropshire results for days 1 and 3 became corrupted when submitted owing to an unfortunate clash with some maintainance work. Ironically, the work was to set up a much needed backup system which is lacking on the present host, as it was the submission backup which failed. Fault corrected on 13 June, two events resubmitted on 15 June.
20 May 2005 - The Ranking System is having major problems and is being moved to a new host. Several of the facilities are currently out of action including results submission and the various enquiry mode. Finally resolved on 7 June 2005 after moving to a new site.
19 May 2004: A few days ago the ranking system ran out of storage space and as a result has been behaving badly. The problem has been fixed for now.
19 February 2004: The new class names introduced this year M/W18L/S are intended to replace the old names M/W18A/B. The change was not initially implemented within the ranking system. The problem has now been fixed - see news.
27 August 2003: Country codes "ENG", "SCO" and "WAL" may now be used as alternatives for "GBR" in the results file. The alternative forms are not recognised as part of the BOF membership number which should still begin with GBR.
13 May 2003: Points scored in the M18B and W18B classes have until now been accidentally absorbed into the corresponding A classes. Consequently the B classes appeared to be empty in the ranking list. The problem has now been fixed.
10 April 2003: Some facilities stopped working for a few days after I had been tidying up the file store. Thanks to those who let me know and apologies to all affected. Fixed 15th April.
14 May 2002: The system suffered a major crash, several files were lost and had to be re-created. Fixed same day.
22 March 2002: The automatic update of the Masters Cup page sometimes fails to work properly, this results in the second half of the list going missing. Fixed 17 April 2002.
22 February 2002: Class omitted from event results if no ranked runners. Fixed 25 February.
2 January 2002: Link to home page was broken. Fixed 3 January.
4 December 2001: Some of the warning messages printed by the results checking program are incorrect, score calculations are unaffected. Fixed 5 December.
11 November 2001: The event list on the Masters Cup page includes some spurious events, score calculations are unaffected. Fixed 19 November.
1 November 2001: The event list on several of the web pages is empty. Fixed same day.
